Mardi Gras Costumes

These costumes are on view at the Presbytere, part of the Louisiana State Museum.
There is so much history behind the Mardi Gras as celebrated in New Orleans, that I have supplied a link to Mardi Gras Digest's History of the Main Line and a general Mardi Gras site with facts, dates, and history. There is so much more to it than I ever imagined. I really appreciate all of the delicate hand work and care that goes into these very complex costumes.
